I have always wanted to run a business. For the majority of my life that I can remember, my dad has been an entrepreneur, and he has always taught me about the perks of business. Nearing the end of my junior of high school, a little brainstorming with me and my dad sparked the idea of a landscaping business. I started small mowing the lawns of some family members. I learned about an app called Nextdoor, I made an account and posted a small ad about providing local lawn care services in Rochester. The post blew up and the next thing I knew I had more business than I could handle. I started with hauling around my dad’s old lawn mower in the back of my grandpa’s pickup. With help from family, I was able to borrow enough equipment to get a good foothold in the business. After about a month I was able to save up enough money to buy a new Honda lawn mower. After a while, the jobs kept getting bigger and bigger, doing re-landscaping projects by moving metric tons of dirt and rock around houses. As time went on, so did the seasons, I started doing fall clean up, and eventually snow removal.
